Who are we?

Our association is a non-profit society and registered charity whose purpose it is to provide professional development opportunities to music teachers of all disciplines, to provide scholarships to their music exam students and to provide performance and other learning opportunities to music students. Our association is open to all music teachers and currently has members representing the communities of Olds, Didsbury, Carstairs, Sundre, Linden, Bowden and Innisfail.

Membership in the Olds and District Music Teachers Association has many benefits:

Who can belong?

The Olds & District Music Teachers Association is open to music teachers of all disciplines residing in the greater Olds area.

What qualifications do I need to belong?
  • Full Membership - Any music teacher or any individual interested in music education, minimum age 18 and completed Level 8 (RCM, Conservatory Canada, etc.) or equivalent training and experience.

  • Student Teacher – Any person, minimum age 14 and completed Level 6 (RCM, Conservatory Canada, etc.) or equivalent training and experience.

  • Membership fees $40 per year.
